Unforgettable Retired List

Stampin' Up!'s Retired List was revealed last month and we are saying goodbye to some of our favorite stamp sets that we have used over and over again. As demonstrators, we are sad as we search through our sets to see which ones we will have to put aside, but also in the same breath, VERY excited to see which sets we will fall in love with when the new catalog comes out.

Stampin' Up! clears out stamp sets from their current catalog each year to make room for new ones in the upcoming Idea Book & Catalog. You can review the list at http://www.stampinup.com/ and click on A Fond Farewell.

One of our Diva Design Team Members, Ashley Van Camp, has made a darling Post-It Note holder using the soon to be retired You're Unforgettable.

Here are the Post-It Note instructions:

Supplies:

Stamps: You're Unfrogettable

Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose marker, Pretty in Pink marker, Always Artichoke marker

Card Stock: Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White

Accessories: Tool Kit, Sticky Strip

Cut card stock to 7 3/8 x 3 ¼. (You can make (3) Post-It Note Holders with (1) 8-1/2 x 11 piece of Certainly Celery card stock)

Score card stock at 3 1/8”, 3 ½”, and 3 7/8”, with the 7 3/8 side butted up against the top of your paper cutter. Fold on all score lines.

With card stock folded on 2nd score line so that the other two score lines are on top of each other, cut two slits about ¾” apart, just to the other score lines. (This will be the pen holder.) ***NOTE: Make sure the 3 1/8 portion of card stock is in the front…as this is the front of your holder.

(Ashley created a diagram showing where to place the Sticky Strip in the pen holder area, however, I'm sorry to say I couldn't figure out how to import it into this posting. Placing the Sticky Strip in certain areas is VERY important to this project, so the pen can be placed correctly. If you would like the diagram and instructions emailed to you, please email me at stampwithstacyp@aol.com and I will send you her detailed information.)

If you think you can figure out where to place the Sticky Strip in the pen holder area, here are the rest of the instructions.

Remove the red backing to the sticky strip in the pen holder area and, after making sure the pen holder portion is pushed out, fold the card stock on the score line onto the sticky strip. You will now have the folder for your Post-It Note.

Place Sticky Strip around the perimeter or the Post-It Note. Remove red backing, and adhere in the center of the back card stock piece.

Place small pen in pen holder.

I challenge you to take a look at the Retired List, grab a retired set and start stamping with it. Share with us what you have created. If you see something you just can't be without, you've only got until August 10th to order those special sets then they will be gone forever. Contact your demonstrator in your area for more information. If you don't have a demonstrator, go to http://www.stampinup.com/ and click on Opportunities, then click Find a Demonstrator. This will list demonstrators in your area.

Good luck and have fun stamping!
