diva sketch challenge

Hey stampin' chix! How is your week? If you are in the mid-west you've experienced rain, sleet, snow and ice and some sunshine. What a screwy winter this has been here in North America, while in Australia they were plagued by fires and floods.

While our weather has been inconsistent our sketch team has been plugging along each week with the sketches. Beginning this week Becky will be taking a break while things at home begin to get busier for her. We will see her back here in a couple of months.

UDI Color Challenge #24

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday Morning at Utah Divas International! Tuesday can mean only one thing -- a NEW COLOR CHALLENGE!!!!!

Just look at the color we have for you this week -- So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke -- inspired by this gorgeous orchid!

It's one thing for all these beautiful colors to blend so beautifully together in a piece of God's creation, but how do some paper artists blend them together with a bit of cardstock, ink and ribbon? Well, check out the Design Team projects below ...

My Digital Studio Monday ~ President's Day!

Welcome Friends to MY Digital Studio Monday (MDS) Challenge #2! Today is President's Day... and what is Presidents Day?

Presidents Day (or Presidents' Day), is the common name for the federal holiday officially designated as Washington's Birthday. As the first federal holiday to honor an American citizen, the holiday was celebrated on Washington's actual birthday in 1796 (the last full year of his presidency) on February 22.

While the holiday is still officially known as Washington's Birthday, it has become popularly known as "President's Day", honoring both Washington and Lincoln, as well as all the other men who have served as president.

To honor President's Day here at Utah Divas we have chosen to make a card or scrapbook page featuring the colors RED, WHITE and BLUE! Now keep in mind the challenge is using those three colors to make your design.

diva sketch challenge

Good morning stampers. I hope you had a good week. We've had a hint of spring here in Michigan this week. We were actually in the mid 50's. What is it like where you live? I do realize that it is mid February and have no illusions that spring is close, but it was oh so nice to sit outside for a few minutes with the cats and play . . . especially after I got my car stuck in my yard last Saturday in the snow. It had to be towed out by my neighbor. Wow, was that only a week ago? :)

UDI Color Challenge #23 -- think Spring!

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new Color Challenge at Utah Divas International! I don't know about you but I'm ready to say "NO MORE SNOW". I usually love winter but this has been extreme and I'm ready to begin thinking spring! It was warm here yesterday in Central Illinois -- almost 50 degrees! A veritable heat wave! It was so nice to go outside without a big heavy coat and snow boots on! So that's it -- NO MORE SNOW!





This week's color challenge will certainly help us as we begin to "think spring"! Look at the beautiful colors in this inspiration photo -- Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip and Crisp Whisper White! Doesn't it just make you want to fall into that bed and curl up with a good book? That would be wonderful indeed!
