Saturday with Sara

Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Sara C. It's been great getting to know Sara and I'm blessed to have become friends with such a caring individual. Here's what she has to share about herself...

I am a passionate Stampin' Up! demonstrator who lives in South Windsor, Connecticut. I’m the proud mother of two beautiful girls, and the wife of one fabulous man. One of my favorite things to do is to recreate projects I’ve seen online, at seminars or in the stores - all from memory, without directions. I also like to work with color and different layouts and designs. "Never be afraid to think outside your comfort zone. And don't ever forget to find time for yourself and have fun doing what you love."

Here is a recent project I demonstrated at a workshop. This is a scrapbook page that started as a 6 x 6 page. The base is on Kiwi Kiss, and is accented with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White mats. The layered background image is stamped from the "Inspired by Nature" set in Kiwi Kiss an
d Whisper White. A chocolate chip ribbon with a slide from Hodgepodge Hardware is added for accent.

This 2nd image shows how you can adapt the smaller page to an 8 1/2 x 11 page, and then to a 12 x 12 page by utilizing coordinating colors and stamped images from the same stamp set.

I hosted a monthly scrapbook club this year that invited the club's participants to take a journey reflecting upon themselves. This installment is from September. Each of the sentiments are stamped from the "Smarty Pants" set. The flowers are from the new "Pocket Silhouettes" set (on sale this month!), and are stamp
ed on circle "cards" which open up to reveal "lessons learned in my lifetime."

If you want to check out more from Sara, feel free to visit her
blog. Thanks, Sara for sharing yourself and work with us. So glad we were able to get to know you a little more.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Alicia :)

I love your pages, Sara. I really need to get scrapbooking. At the rate I'm going, my kids will be grandparents before I get their books completed. :)

Miss you!
Big hugs!
