Fabulous Friday

Good Morning and Happy Friday! My name is Becky and I am going to be posting on Fridays here at our UDI blog. Starting in October we will have a sketch challenge for you to participate in but today I am going to share one of my favorite (and easy) techniques...Paper piecing. This is simply stamping your line-art image (something that needs to be colored in) onto patterned paper, cutting it out and using it as your image. I used Embrace Life, which is not a Christmas set but I was able to make a pretty Christmas card. Here is a card that we are going to be making at one of my upcoming technique classes.

Another thing I like to do and teach others to do is to take a card that you like and change the colors and patterned papers to create a new look. Here are 2 more cards that I made using the same stamps and layout. Now we no longer have a Christmas card, but a pretty card that can be sent in the fall and a pretty Thank you note for anytime of the year.

I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by and come back on Fridays in October for out new sketch challenge.
