Fresh Cards

I do hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday and coping with your summer heat - here in Australia we are in the middle of winter and its rather chilly to say the least! At the moment the mercury is sitting at a mere 52.5F so please feel free to send some of your warmth to us!

Today it is my pleasure to bring you these lovely two projects from the lovely Diva Design Team member (and very talented) Ruthie Burkey.

Project #1: Love Notes card:

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Circle of Friendship
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Afternoon Tea DSP
Accessories: Cream Grosgrain Ribbon, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches

Project #2. Fresh Cuts Card:

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Fresh Cuts
Inks: Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Lovely Lilac
Cardstock: Confetti White, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac
Accessories: Certainly Celery and Rose Red Watercolor Crayons, Spritzer Tool
Technique: Burnished Watercolors

My version of Leigh O'Brien's Burnished Watercolors:

Burnished Watercolors

Supplies:
StazOn
Two complimentary colors of ink
Daubers
White Cardstock
Waterbrush
Watercolor crayons
Detail Stamps

Stamp image with StazOn. Use daubers to create random circles of each color ink randomly over the image. Use the waterbrush to pick up colors from the watercolor crayons and color in the images. Lastly, pick up color from the black watercolor crayon (or dark brown) and splatter across image. Assemble as desired.

Have a blessed week & see you next week.
