Technique Tuesday - Double Slider Card

Do you want to double the surprise on your project? Here's a fun way to do just that!

DOUBLE SLIDER CARD

Supplies needed:

. 1-1/4" Circle punch
. Word Window punch
. Stampin' Dimensionals
. Card stock
. Adhesive

1. First, punch a divot in the top of the card using the 1-1/4" Circle punch. Make a vertical slot through the front of the card using the Word Window punch (see Figure 1).



2. Place the back slider inside the card, aligning the top with the top of the divot.
3. Put two Stampin' Dimensionals through the slot and adhere to the back slider (see Figure 2).



4. Next, adhere the front slider to the front of the Stampin' Dimensionals (see Figure 3).



5. Cover the slot with your front stamped image using Stampin' Dimensionals (see Figure 4), and finish by adhering the card edges together.

Today's feature Diva is Traci Gentry. Here's a little bit about her.....

I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Woodville, Ohio. I have been married for 6 years to my husband Brian, and we have a Yellow Lab named Colby. I also work full time in a bank. For stamping projects, I like to make mostly cards and 3-D items. I have been a demonstrator for 3 years. I have 3 monthly stamp clubs that meet each month in my home. Between them and a workshop or two I do each month, that keeps me pretty busy! I am doing a workshop next week and we are making these cute Broomstick Treat Bags as one of our projects. They are so simple and fun to make!

I love using the Big Shot on my cards and this scallop envelope die is fabulous. It is too cute on cards and makes great envelopes for cards on gifts and gift bags. It can not be purchased in stores but it is available by contacting your Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Inspiration Challenge Thursday!!!!

Another week just few by and we're here for another Thursday Inspiration Challenge! I want to thank those who participated in the Diva Inspiration Challenges in September! The winner of the free stamp set will announced in a later post, so stay tuned.......
In the mean time, you can get your thoughts stirring on this week's Golden Poppies Canvas Art inspiration picture. I love the deep colors and sketch possibilities. Most definitely the Rich Regals will be pulled out for this challenge!

I challenged myself on this one! I had the idea down pretty fast, but it's that finishing touch that did me in. I sponged the background, flowers, and accents with Bravo Burgundy ink to help add some depth. When I was done, I felt like it was too plain so I asked the question "What else can I add?". I first added the crystal effects then some ribbon and finally some brads. I still am a little unsure of what else to add without overdoing it, but this is how it'll stay for now.
