Finally Friday with Amour from Paris!
I am super excited about what is to come in the new Idea Book & Catalog!!! This is only one of many new awesome sets in the catalog.
Since I am soooo excited about the new catalog coming out, I used one of the new sets we could pre-order. This set is called Artistic Etchings. Doesn't it remind you of Paris back in the 40's era? And the new dsp, Newsprint, is to die for!!!
The Eiffel Tower is stamped in the new Cherry Cobbler and the medallion brooch is in Daffodil Delight, stamped off once. Then I lightly spritzed the panel with the Silver Smooch spray. The "Amour" is stamped in black staz on onto Daffodil Delight. I used my distressor tool on the Daffodil Delight and inked the edges with black. This panel is up on dimensionals. A mini library clip with a piece of the new 1/8" black taffeta finishes off the card.
For the inside I cut a piece of Very Vanilla to 3 x 6. I wanted to have that frame of black around it. I used the torn strip from the front piece on the edge, stamped the medallion in Daffodil Delight, the crown in Cherry Cobbler and the key in black. The sentiment is from the new Level 3 hostess set, Occasional Quotes.

For this card I used Basic Black textured, cut to 3.5 x 7. Haven't made a longer type card in awhile and I really like how this turned out. I used a strip of the Newsprint dsp, tore the right edge off, wadded and crumpled it out, flattened it out and inked the edges with black staz on. I tried to be careful when I adhered it to the card so I didn't flatten it out too much.

So brace yourself for the new catalog, and the new goodies in it, that is available on July 1st!!!!
Happy Stamping!!!!!

diva sketch challenge
Happy Saturday everyone! Summer is in full swing around the country now that school is officially out and the summer activities have begun. For those of you in Australiea and New Zealand, sorry for leaving you out. You're in the middle of your winter and school.
So today we have an asymetrical sketch for you. It appears to be a bit bottom heavy, but I doubt that the cards will be that way. As always check out what the awesome sketch team has made for you.
Are you liking what we're bringing you each week? Do you play along? Please give us some feed back so that we know you're happy.

Congratulations, Graduate!
Hello! Happy Wednesday! It's been ages since I posted here, and I saw that nothing had been posted yet, so I'm jumping in and posting. ;) Tis the season for graduations, so I'm sharing a card I made yesterday for a friend's daughter. She's graduating from the same high school I graduated from just a few short years ago. OK. Stop laughing and pick yourself up off the floor. 22 years wasn't so long ago was it? LOL
I used the school colors and the Go, Graduate set available in the Summer mini. The card base is Night of Navy. The next layer is also Night of Navy. I stamped the cap all over it in Silver Encore ink (retiring), and then ran it through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder (also in the Summer mini). I stamped the image and sentiment in Jet Black Stazon on a piece of Whisper White at the same time. I just lined them both up on one block. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new clear-mount stamps! I colored the image with watercolor pencils, a blender pen and a few SU! markers. A piece of Bashful Blue taffeta (retiring) and some Silver elastic cord (retired) finishes off the card.
Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Go, Graduate. Ink- Jet Black Stazon, Silver Encore. Paper- Whisper White, Night of Navy. Accessories- Big Shot, Square Lattice embossing folder, Bashful Blue taffeta, Silver elastic cord, dimensionals.
Happy stampin'!

I'm back with an MDS page!
It's been way too long since I posted a project here - I'm so sorry to have let that responsibility slide. I don't even know what to blame it on - my 2 year old? He's generally the one who drags my attention away from my stamping. :) From now on, I'll do better at making sure there is always a post on Tuesdays.
I started this page last week and finally had a chance to sit down and finish it. I played around with the different elements forever and then decided I was making things much too complicated. MDS is supposed to simplify my scrapbooking - not make it harder! Once I decided to just leave things where they were I was pretty happy with the end result :)
Until next week!

diva sketch challenge
Wow. Where did the last five months go? Can you believe it is already June? We have some busy team members this week and so our blog skip is a bit shorter than usual. Hopefully we'll all be back together again next week. Next week we are also adding a new member to the sketch team: Barbara Dykhouse. You're going to love her work and can't wait for her to get started.
Enjoy your weekend. Please say a prayer for Tiffany's daughter, Jordan. She had a bad atv accident on Memorial Day.

Finally Friday with a Sneak Peek for You!!!
This is using the new set "Studio Sketches" from the sneak peek. The sentiment is using the new Level 3 hostess, a partial. I used the Early Espresso marker to ink up the thank you.
I stamped the image in the new Early Espresso on watercolor paper and used my aquapainter to "smear" the ink. Watercoloring is not my strong point, so I almost didn't order this set. But, I am glad I did.
The pears were colored with the new Pear Pizazz marker, cut out and popped up.
The base card is Crumb Cake and the other colors I used are Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait and Early Espresso.
The sentiment is from the new Level 3 hostess set, Occasional Quotes. I used my Early Espresso marker to color just the thank you portion.
Happy Stamping!!!!
